Yesterday, which was a substitute day off for working Saturday, my husband and I went to the Ginza area for the first time in a while to buy a birthday present for him, and spent the day like tourists. We treated him to sushi for lunch in Ginza, and went to Baccarat to look at whiskey glasses that he wanted. The reason we chose Baccarat is because we used them when we went back to our parents' house during Obon (my brother had given them as a wedding gift), and we were impressed by how comfortable they were to use and how beautiful they looked when pouring drinks into them.

We successfully purchased what we liked, and he bought me sunglasses in return, so we headed home satisfied.

A temporary grass area had been created on Marunouchi Nakadori, where you can relax outdoors by laying out a sheet. In fact, there were many stylish people relaxing there in a stylish manner. I thought my daughters would be happy to see them, but I also thought that the atmosphere would be different if we were to have fun as usual in such a stylish place.

So, today I'm working from home, so I'm doing housework until around 11:00 and about to go out to work (it's late). When I'm at home, I can't help but do housework. Unlike research or studying, I can see results from housework fairly quickly, so I tend to escape to that.

Now, time to get to work.

Since there are no classes, I've been working from home and taking substitute days off, so I've been spending my time relatively freely since mid-August. When the hectic schedule of the school term is over, I sometimes feel negative, but I think I'm spending my time calmly.
